1. What Prove It is
Prove It is a novelty website. You submit an Instagram handle, you pay an amount of your choosing, and that handle appears on a public leaderboard next to the amount that was paid. That is the entire service. There is nothing else to receive.
2. What a payment proves
A payment proves one thing: that this amount was paid on Prove It.
It is not evidence that the person named holds that money, owns anything, earns anything, or is wealthy in any way. Nothing on this site should be read as a statement about anyone's actual finances. The leaderboard ranks payments, not people.
3. Handles are not verified
We do not check that the person paying controls the Instagram account they enter. Anyone can pay under any handle, including someone else's. An entry on the leaderboard therefore tells you that somebody paid under that handle, and nothing more.
If your handle appears and you want it gone, see section 6.
4. Price
You choose the amount before paying. The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged, in US dollars. Your bank may apply its own conversion or fees, which are outside our control.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
5. Refunds
Your entry is published the moment your payment is confirmed, so the service is performed immediately and in full. Sales are final, except where the law of your country says otherwise.
If a payment went through and no entry appeared, that is a bug rather than a refund question. Tell us and we will fix it.
6. Removing an entry
Write to us at the address in Contact and we will remove an entry. We do this without argument in particular when:
- the handle is yours and you did not pay,
- the handle belongs to a minor,
- the entry is being used to harass someone.
Removal does not automatically mean a refund, and a refund does not automatically mean the payer gets their entry back.
7. What you may not do
Do not submit handles that are offensive, that impersonate in order to defame, that belong to minors, or that are used to target or harass a private individual. We remove such entries and keep the payment or refund it, at our discretion.
8. Availability and liability
The site is provided as is. We do not guarantee it stays online, that the leaderboard is accurate at any given moment, or that it will exist next year. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
Prove It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta in any way.
9. Changes
These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here on the day you pay.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the publisher is established. Nothing here removes any protection your own country gives you as a consumer.
